SEARCH BAR
Think the search bar on top is merely to type in websites and Google searches? Did you know it can…
DO YOUR MATH FOR YOU
In the search bar, simply enter 10*26.
Press ENTER
Your answer is provided!
CONVERT MEASUREMENTS
In the search bar, simply enter 12 inches = feet”
Press ENTER
Your answer is provided!
SEARCH WITHIN A SITE
Type “amazon.com”
Press the TAB button
Type what you would like to search for
Press ENTER
Your results will populate.
Please note:
This skips the need to go the  and enter in your search item in the search box. It only works on sites which Google indexed the search.
NO NEED TO ENTER “WWW.” AND “.COM” EACH TIME
The “www.” is generally not required, since the browser enters it in.
If you don’t enter “.com”, you will get the search results before you actually go to the desired website (and who has time for an extra click?).
Simply press CTRL + Enter after you type in the website.
For example, type “avenuemcomputers CTRL+ENTER” and it will take you to www.avenuemcomputers.com!
WANT TO ACCESS THE SEARCH BAR – WITHOUT USING THE MOUSE?
Simply press CTRL+L

With so little menu options, how much can you do with the Chrome browser?
This section will discuss all the things you can do with the little icon to the left of the website address.
RIGHT CLICK ON THE LITTLE ICON, AND…
Allow or Block the following list of setting for that particular website:
► Images
► Java
► Plugins
► Popups
► Location
► Notifications
► Automatic downloads
TABS

Back in Windows XP and Internet Explorer, each opened website required its own browser. Now we can have multiple tabs within one browser.
Do you know these tricks regarding tabs?
PIN TAB
Want to always have a particular tab opened when you open Chrome?
Right click on the tab
Select “PIN TAB”
OPENING A NEW TAB
Select CTRL + T
(CTRL+N for a new window)
CLOSING A TAB
Don’t want to move the mouse?
Select CTRL+W to close the current tab
(CTRL+SHIFT+W to close the entire windows)
RE-OPENING A CLOSED TAB
After learning all these tricks, did you accidentally close a tab you wanted open?
No problem!
Select CTRL+SHIFT+T
(This does not work in incognito mode, since the browser does not remember where you were last!)
There are a lot of features within all the browsers, not just Google Chrome.
